The Flood! My old house on Marchand flooded back in 1997. We worked around the clock for several weeks building a mammoth dyke but on a Saturday morning with the RCMP arriving by Zodiak to arrest us the water came in through the septic system and took the house out. But by the height of the flood the water was higher than the dyke we had built.
